Kenyan Peaberry Coffee Beans

Only ca. 5% of coffee cheries are Peaberry, a natural mutation, where only 1 seed is fertilised. The result, a single, larger & rounder bean (instead of 2 halves) with the flavor intensity of two beans, enabling a much more even roast. Our carefully selected, specialty Kenyan Peaberry is from Kiambu (Altitude 1720m), a blend of four varieties – SL28, SL34, Batian & Ruiru. Freshlyy roasted in beans or ground. Tones: complex coffee, with interesting berry and citrus flavours, with the typical spice of good Kenyan coffees, and undertones of sweet plum and grape. With an even roast and tangy acidity to its flavour, this popular bean is a favourite and is available in medium or dark roast.
