Grace Chocolaterie was founded in 2020 by a Swiss-Kenyan and her English husband. Our brand takes its name from our surname Grace.

The dream was to make artisan chocolate in Kenya, using cocoa, ingredients & packaging primarily from East Africa – Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda – and employing locals.

Our journey was inspired by the art of making chocolate, learnt in Belgium & living in Switzerland for 35 years, where chocolate is a religion.

Initially, we went to organic markets, where customers sampled our chocolate and gave us valuable feedback. Today you can buy our chocolate on-line, at retail specialists as well as selected retail chains, but we still go to markets to meet our customers.

We make our chocolate in Karen, have KEBS and Brand Kenya certification.

Popular bars are caramel, ruby, sea salt, chilli & 80% dark Uganda with Kenyan purple tea. But we also sell cocoa nibs, cocoa husk tea & make pralines, chocolate spoons and coat coffee beans, cocoa nibs & nuts with our delicious chocolate.
